Our Mission
“That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.”
Psalm 1:3
Valley View was established as a non-denominational community church to unite a diverse Christian community through clear teaching of the Word of God. We're thrilled also to be an inter-generational church that together worships our Lord and serve the surrounding communities to know God and make him known. As A.W. Tozer said so well, we believe that “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." As we are reminded every time we worship, we are "Alive by God's grace, Living for His glory." Together, we want to believe and live the faith!
After the end of World War II, a man, who was legally blind, saw the need for a church in Valley View to proclaim the good news
of Jesus Christ in the midst of our growing community.
That man, Lester Dix, served as our first pastor, and he lead our first members to live by faith in God's grace and in the good news that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. 77 plus years later, we continue to proclaim the timeless message that Jesus is our Lord and Savior by faith in Christ alone by the grace of God!
Like our first members, it is our continued desire that we know we are "Alive by God's grace, Living for His glory."
We invite you to join our legacy of proclaiming the good news
of Jesus to the world around us!
Our History
Our Fellowship
One of the things repeatedly said about Valley View by our guests is how friendly and welcoming our church family is! We're grateful to hear this because we really strive to be a family of believers united to worship God, to serve Him together, and to proclaim the message of Jesus Christ in our world. But we are more than a social club, and we are more than a place to worship weekly. Because of our relationships as brothers and sisters in Christ and the example we set as a church family, our aim is to inspire a love for Christ in our community, as he is our only hope in life and in death.
We want you to know this can also be your family home where you can develop your best and closest friendships to encourage and support you in all we experience in this unstable world.
Because we're not affiliated with a particular denomination, Valley View is led by a team of elders elected by our church members. Every year we work to meet the needs of our church family and cast a vision for our community supported by our operational budget that is approved by our church members.
It is also our goal to equip and train our people to be faithful and loyal leaders in our homes, church, and community.
Our church constitution, by-laws, and statement of faith are our governing documents based solely upon the authority of the written Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments.
